Package Description:

This package is for a mock technical interview. I will message you before your scheduled time to coordinate what type of interview questions you are hoping to practice. This package replicates a real life interview as closely as possible so that you can practice building your interviewing skills. At the end of the session, I will provide feedback on how the interview went and suggestions for areas to focus on to improve your interviewing skills. There will be two sections to the session itself: - The interview. In this section, I will behave exactly as an interviewer would. I will do the following: - Introduce myself and the fictional company you are interviewing for - Ask you to introduce yourself - Present the interview problem - Observe, ask questions, and help where needed to reach a solution on the problem - Give you a few minutes at the end to ask questions - Feedback. In this section, I will tell you how I as an interviewer would have scored your interview. I will share my notes on the interview with you, and I will point out specific areas where you excelled or needed some practice.

I'm an experienced software engineer, with a history of working for startups. I love the places where you wear multiple hats - write code, iron out requirements with stakeholders, talk to customers, support your code in production, etc. I've worked in Node, React, Go, Ruby, and Java. I've worked with AWS, OpenAI, GraphQL, Docker, and many other technologies. I've mentored interns, ran many technical and behavioral interviews, been a part of hiring decisions, and even done a short stint as a manager, though I will always prefer being an individual contributor.
